Group ini muncul ke permukaan blantika music rock international tepat ketika Pop metal explotion ada diujung kejayaannya yakni diakhir tahun 80-an dan awal 80-an. Firehouse diperkuat olehC.J Snare pada Vocal kemudian Michael Foster, Bill Leverty, dan Perry Richardson.
Warna musik mereka yang Commersial Hard Rock serta melodic mendorong nama Firehouse seperti kilat ke chart success Debut album mereka di tahun 1991 juga mendapat sambutan lumayan hangat termasuk dari para kritisi musik


Dengan cepat pula Self title debut album mereka meraih Platinum dan menelorkan 2 lagu yg berhasil merambah top 20 singles "Don't Treat Me Bad" dan "Love of a Lifetime." Satu tahun kemudian, tepatnya di tahun 1992 Firehouse merilis album kedua bertitle Hold Your Fire, yang dirancang untuk menggaet predikat Gold tapi sayang sekali album Firehouse yang satu ini kurang mujur di pasaran. Nasib buruk album ini Bisa jadi disebabkan karena Firehouse mengambil materi yg salah dan keluar dari album mereka yg pertama kali ini mereka mengadopsi sound yang lebih berat dan lebih mengarah ke punk hard rock


Untuk melanjutkan dengan album ke tiga Firehouse butuh waktu 3 tahun untuk merenungi memperbaiki dan mempelajari materi yg lebih bagus dan fresh. Lahirlah Firehouse 3 di tahun 1995 yang menampilkan materi yang lebih soft dan ternyata memang ada hasilnya album ini kembali dilirik masyarakat walaupun tidak seantusias pada album pertama. Satu tahun berikutnya Firehouse menampilkan Good Acoustics. dan di tahun 1999 Firehouse kembali lewat album bertitle Category 5 dan dalam album ini anda bisa menyimak kekentalan atau khas dari Amrican Rock n Roll yang diikuti dengan konser besar-besaran.
